With Arizona contending with the White House over who is the real trespasser, the state of Texas over the weekend provided its own answer.
The Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 60 illegal migrants for trespassing on a ranch near the town of Normandy, Texas. Those arrested were part of a larger group of around 400 who crossed over a fence onto private property, leaving a trail of trash along the way. By doing so, they committed criminal trespass, a state crime.
All the jails in the area are now reported full, so it remains to be seen how Texas can keep up with the ongoing surge, but Governor Abbott and his Operation Lone Star continue to fight the invasion every way they can.
