“Mostly Peaceful”? Migrants Brawl in Street Outside NYC Hotel

Mobs of “asylum seekers” got into a brawl outside a New York City hotel in broad daylight on Sunday, swinging sticks, belts, and traffic cones during a violent melee. New video shows at least a dozen illegal migrants squaring off Sunday afternoon outside The Row hotel on Eighth Avenue. In the video, one migrant is seen swinging a bat at the mob, while another of the combatants is taken to the ground and beaten by four others.

The brawl took place in the middle of the street, with motorists passing by as the two sides faced off. At one point, one migrant hit another in the head, knocking the man’s bicycle  helmet off before running across Eighth Avenue.

The cause of the brawl remains unclear, and the NYPD had not as of yesterday responded to the Post’s requests for comment. The Row is one of several hotels and shelters converted to house asylum seekers arriving in New York City from the US border with Mexico. Since the influx began in the spring of 2022, more than 190,000 migrants have arrived in the city, with over 64,000 currently housed in city shelters
