We most recently noted this in December with “Left Wants to Arm Illegal Aliens,” noting:
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) is arguing that the recruiting shortfall of military recruits being experienced by our various branches of service could be met by enlisting illegals, who would thereby receive citizenship papers and the right to vote.
Now the proposal has surfaced again, this time in Congress in a bipartisan fashion. Reps. Pat Ryan (D-NY) and John James (R-MI) are introducing the “Courage to Serve Act, which would put qualified and vetted migrants into an expedited lane to eventually become U.S. citizens if they serve in the armed forces.”
This would permit illegals, after being “vetted” by patriotic American agencies such as the FBI, to join one of the military branches and, after three years’ service, be put on the fast track to citizenship and suffrage.
The number of military-age men — many of them currently hailing from China — who illegally cross into the U.S. has spiked in the past few years, just as the military services have found themselves tens of thousands down in recruiting. As one of the bill’s introducers (Ryan) said:
If folks* have the courage to raise their right hand, swear an oath to protect and defend this nation and put their lives on the line, then they sure as hell deserve the opportunity to become an American citizen.
“And to vote for my party’s candidates,” he might have added, while his RINO partner James said,
Some of the heroes* Pat and I served with in Iraq were immigrants, and I can’t think of a more deserving person to become an American citizen than immigrants who are willing to serve in our military.
Of course. We all know that anybody who wants to carry a gun and legally shoot people is a great candidate for citizenship, regardless of their country of origin or their history of criminally crossing borders. And they’ll come in handy for the regime some day should a real “insurrection” by American citizens erupt.
