The Supreme Court upheld the Trump Administration’s position that criminal aliens can be deported from the U.S. even if they have lived in this country for a long period of time. The 5-4 decision involved Andre Martello Barton, a Jamaican charged with drugs and firearms offences who has lived in the U.S. since the 1980s.
