A Fox News poll found increasing support among registered American voters for completing a border wall. Fifty-seven percent support this proposal, compared with 49 percent in February of this year. In 2018, only 39 percent supported it. At present, 40 percent oppose completion of the wall.
Sixty-two percent of white Americans favor completion, 49 percent of Hispanics, and 58 percent of voters making less than $50,000 a year.
The poll also asked if we have adequate security at the border. Seventy-one percent said “not strict enough.” Seventeen percent said “about right,” and nine percent said “too strict.” In 2013, sixty percent chose “not strict enough.” Thirty-two percent chose “about right,” and three percent chose “not strict enough.”
