Rasmussen Reports did a poll of likely U.S. voters to determine their attitudes on the dispute between the state of Texas and the Biden Administration. In a summary of its findings, Rasmussen stated that “Sixty-nine percent (69 percent) . . . support Texas erecting barriers at the border to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing, including 53 percent who “strongly support” the action. . . . Only 27 percent oppose Texas taking action to prevent illegal immigration[.]”
One question on the poll asked the respondents whether they agreed or disagreed with the following statement of Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA): “The feds are staging a civil war, and Texas should stand their ground.” Fifty-five percent agreed with the congressman, and 36 percent disagreed.
