Adams Offloads Illegal Migrants to . . . China?

Poor old Mayor Adams of New York City. He’s had a time of it trying to deal with the 80,000 or so illegal migrants that have come to his city during the last year. He’s tried erecting a tent city on Randall’s Island, building another at Orchard Beach, housing them in “emergency hotels,” and sending them to NYC suburbs, Florida, Canada, Washington DC, Texas, North Carolina, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, and . . . and . . . China! He’s even toyed with the idea of placing them in private homes around the country.

That’s right, the Mayor has spent the lordly sum of $50,000 to resettle 114 migrant households to those places and more. That $50K strikes one of being possibly on the low side, especially considering the Adams would like the U.S. taxpayer to reimburse him for the $4.3 billion he claims he will end up spending on the problem. Nevertheless, that’s what the records show.

Although New York is a sanctuary city and considers itself deserving of all the kudos and attaboys such uber-morality earns for one, nevertheless Hizzoner has shown himself willing to offload excess world citizens where he can.

But China? We thought the Chinese were coming here???

The fact is, to be fair, so far only one family seems to have been sent (back?) to China, so that might be a one-off outlier. China, although fertility-challenged like the U.S., has not adopted the pack-em-in policy that economists and leftwing activists have sold to the U.S. elite, but maybe Mayor Adams can persuade the CCP to open the gates to his dear unwanted.

Worth a try, right, Mr. Mayor? Otherwise, don’t be surprised if one day a foreign brood experiencing homelessness (who knew?) comes knocking on your door.
