U.S. Now Besieged on Three Fronts

The ongoing invasion of the United States across our southern border has been documented by the AIC Foundation almost daily since the beginning of the Biden administration two years ago. More recently, we have commented on the revved-up maritime assault on the Florida coast, and increasingly on a startling upsurge of illegal traffic coming down from Canada.

Together, those three areas of crisis are coalescing into an all-out three-front invasion, about which the Biden administration is doing little to confront and everything to encourage.

Consider the following:

  • Since the start of fiscal year 2023 in October, federal agents in Texas have apprehended 484,527 illegal migrants, an increase of 21 percent over the same period in FY 2022, which was itself a record-breaker. How many got through undeterred we don’t know, nor do we know how many of those encountered were returned. We do know that most of those removed will be back and no doubt will eventually be admitted, even welcomed, by this administration.
  • Along the South Florida coast, a “massive wave” of boat people arriving there caused Gov. Ron DeSantis to activate the state’s National Guard in January. Just yesterday, the Miami Herald reported that a tent city had been set up in the Florida Keys to provide a “base camp” for state Highway Patrol officials and others to operate from as they attempt to deal with constant migrant boat landings up and down the southern coast.
  • And, perhaps most surprisingly, in the middle of winter, illegal traffic down from Canada has reached record numbers, forcing the CBP to ask for volunteers to come to Vermont to handle the crisis. More than 1,500 encounters have been recorded in the state’s Swanton sector this year, an increase of 846 percent over the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden jets over to Ukraine to promise more billions of dollars in U.S.-taxpayer funds to the criminal gang ruling that country.

Fed up yet, America?
