On Tuesday, a maroon Ford Expedition packed with two dozen illegal migrants pulled out in front of a tractor-trailer in California, killing 13. The Expedition had had all but the front two seats removed to enable 25 people to be packed inside. Investigators have now revealed that that vehicle, driven by a smuggler, had only a short time before driven through a 10-foot gap in an old portion of the International Boundary Fence near Holtville, California. Surveillance footage also showed a second vehicle, a red Chevrolet Suburban, driving through the same gap. Approximately 30 miles from the barrier breach, that vehicle also apparently crashed and burned. No injuries were reported from that crash, though 19 illegals were found hiding in the brush nearby.
As yet, no one has explained how the gap in the barrier occurred. Most or all of the migrants appear to be Mexican nationals. El Centro Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gregory Bovino, said this about the deadly accident:
Human smugglers have proven time and again they have little regard for human life. Those who may be contemplating crossing the border illegally should pause to think of the dangers that all too often end in tragedy; tragedies our Border Patrol Agents and first responders are unfortunately very familiar with.
Yet the urge to attempt the journey grows stronger, in part because Joe Biden and his team continue to lure more and more asylum seekers northward. Indeed, something of a Biden personality cult seems to have sprung up among them, as shown in the photograph below, where migrants garbed in Biden tees hold signs pleading, “BIDEN PLEASE LET US IN!”
