Mexico’s foreign minister Alicia Barcena says her government will stand up for Mexican illegal aliens in the U.S., particularly if courts allow Texas to enforce SB4. a measure which would allow that state to expel illegals aliens.
She stated, “We want Mexican and immigrant communities here to know Mexico will support them whether or not SB4 is enforced. We are very concerned; that’s why we are here to promote initiatives like ‘Know your rights,’ legal assistance and 24-hour protection for our nationals.
“SB4 is not in effect, but we need to be prepared as to how we will protect our migrants, our immigrants who live in Texas and in states that are contemplating similar laws. We believe it’s a law that discriminates, that is anti-immigrant.”
Apparently in her mind, we should not “discriminate” between law-abiding legal residents of our country and her countrymen who break our laws.
