In a speech in Conroe, Texas, former President Donald Trump stated that “The most important border . . . for us is not Ukraine’s border but America’s border. Before Joe Biden sends any troops to defend a border in Europe, he should be sending troops to defend our border right here in Texas.”
Commenting on Trump’s statement, columnist Patrick Buchanan asked, “Which matters more — the defense of our country from an invasion of migrants from the Third World, or the defense of the borders of distant nations that have little or nothing to do with the security or survival of the United States?”
