Columnist Michelle Malkin says a moratorium on refugee resettlement in the U.S. is “long overdue.” Prompting her comment are reports that the Trump Administration is considering significant cutbacks in resettlement.
It is overdue, she said, “Not only for the cultural and financial impact that it’s causing on these working-class neighborhoods and towns that never got a say in whether they wanted these refugees largely from Muslim countries and African countries in the first place, but also . . . , on September 11, to consider the national security implications of bringing people over here who have an unshakable hatred of all things Western.”
