What’s in a name?
Anxious to remove altogether any suggestion that those millions of illegal border-jumpers admitted by Biden to the US are anything but the ILLEGAL ALIENS that they are, the White House has now begun referring to them as “newcomers.” Yesterday, in a “fact sheet” pushing the Senate bill intended to justify Biden’s catch-and-release policy, the administration wrote:
The bill also includes $1.4 billion for cities and states who are providing critical services to newcomers, and would expedite work permits for people who are in the country and qualify. [Emphasis added.]
The leftists who rule us have over the years run an Orwellian gamut of increasingly anodyne terms for these border criminals in an effort to be as “inclusive” as possible: “illegal aliens” to “irregular immigrants“ to “noncitizens” to “undocumented individuals” to “new Americans” to “newcomers.” Can “exalted guests” be far behind?
The new nomenclature would make a gang of Venezuelan Tren de Aragua members sound like a family from Peoria who just moved in next door. Welcome Wagon, anyone?
(That “Welcome Wagon” part has been taken care of by the Bidenists and the sanctuaries who are happy to shower our wonderful “newcomers” with taxpayer-funded freebies like free rent, free healthcare, free education, free cellphones, free debit cards, free food, free transportation, etc. They don’t call us the “land of the free” for nothing.)
