Democratic candidate for president Michael Bloomberg recently set forth his platform on immigration. According to Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York, it is a “no brainer” that we give amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to all of the 11 million illegal aliens now living in the U.S.. He also called for more steps to stop illegal immigration. He did not explain how rewarding law-breaking would not encourage more of it.
He also maintained that the U.S. needs more legal immigrants even though we now have the highest sustained rate of immigration in our history. The billionaire Bloomberg expressed no concern about more immigration depressing the wages of American workers.
