Blackburn Rebuts Border Claim

The Biden Administration claims its border policies are proving successful, despite the repeal last month of Title 42, a measure which expedited the removal of illegal aliens. As proof, the administration cites the decline of arrests of illegals at the border since Title 42 ended.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) strongly disagrees. She says that the decline is due in part to the administration’s policy of redefining many illegal aliens as legal. The other reason is that the Border Patrol has had to cut back on making arrests because many of its agents are tied down doing paperwork to process border crossers. Drug cartels, says Blackburn, have taken advantage of this decline of enforcement to step up their human trafficking across the border.

The White House, Blackburn maintains, is manipulating statistics in support of its “open border policies.”
