In a sweetheart agreement with the radical-left American Civil Liberties Union, the Biden Administration is seeking to ban what it calls “family separation” involving illegal aliens. If approved by a judge, this settlement would bar, for eight years, separate custody of children brought in by illegal aliens who face prosecution.
Andrew Arthur explains what this means a practical matter: “It provides any adult who enters the United States illegally with a child in a ‘family unit’ (FMU) virtual immunity from criminal prosecution that Congress never intended. It will also increase the trauma to the kids used by adult migrants and smugglers seeking release into the United States.”
