The long-term costs to taxpayers of granting amnesty to illegal aliens and their descendants are detailed in a new report from the National Academy of Sciences. Immigration expert Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation explained the findings of the report on Friday.
Rector explains that the tremendous costs flow from the low educational levels of most illegals, who, if legalized, would receive far more in benefits than they would ever pay in taxes. One estimate of the net cost is $1.29 trillion.
