Continuing the state’s efforts to welcome and encourage illegal immigration, the Calif. DMV will open five new centers in alien-heavy areas. Last year, Dem. Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law a bill which will allow illegal aliens to drive legally and protect them from criminal prosecution when applying for licenses. Up to 1.4 million illegals are expected to obtain licenses.
Pro-alien advocates, now a dominate power in California government, actually argued that driver’s licenses were needed for illegals to get to and from their jobs. It has been a federal crime for employers to hire illegal aliens since 1986.
A recent Zogby Analytics poll found 53% of likely California voters would limit driver’s licenses to legal residents.
