Replacement: A Reality Theory

The Quote Below—More Misinformation from the Media

“’This is why they [Democrats] need to stop me [Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake]. My plan to shut down human smuggling and their open border policies would thwart their agenda. . . . “They need the human smuggling to fill the rolls with new Democrat voters.’

“Lake frequently has promoted without evidence, conspiracy theories related to elections and immigration. Her Tuesday remark was perhaps Lake’s most explicit venture into the influential and sprawling idea known as the ‘Great Replacement Theory,’ which holds that elites, often Jewish, are deliberately engineering a replacement of the native-born population with immigrants.

“That view has become a major feature of politics in Europe, where right-wing leaders argue that non-white migrants, largely from Asia and Africa, are replacing white Europeans

“Once a fringe idea in American politics the racist theory is now widespread among Republicans. Last year, Rep. Paul Gosnar (R-AZ) was accused of using white nationalist rhetoric linked to the replacement theory.

“Until recently, this was a theory that you would only encounter in a far-right propaganda and message boards, but it’s been gradually mainstreamed through social media and, more recently, in the right-wing ecophere,” said Yale University professor Philip, an expert of white Christian nationalism.” – Kari Lake’s Immigration Remark Plays into Racist “Great Replacement Theory, Scholar Says, Laura Gersony, Arizona Republic. 1/15/24 [Link]

Fact Check of Above Quote: “Conspiracy theory” is one of the terms our powers-that-be use to intimidate opponents and silence discussion. Other words they use for this purpose on the topic of immigration are racist, nativist, bigot and xenophobe. A view labeled “conspiracy theory” is supposed to be some unhinged conjecture with no basis in reality.

But that description hardly applies to the “Great Replacement.” Conspiracy is a hidden activity. Prominent Democrats have openly endorsed mass immigration as a means to make their party dominant in American politics. The Democratic commentator Robert Creamer explicitly outlined this strategy in his influential book Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win. He stated that “If the Democrats continue to stand firmly for immigrant rights, the issue will define immigrants’ voting loyalties for a generation. If we are successful, a gigantic block of progressive votes will enter the electorate over the next 15 years—a block that could be decisive in the battle for the future.”

Another Democrat who endorses the Great Replacement on an explicitly racial basis is none other than our President Joe Biden, He stated that “nonstop immigration” is making white Americans an “absolute minority in America.” He went on to say, “That is not a bad thing. That’s the source of our strength.” And just who is the “our” he is referencing? Certainly this demographic change “not a bad thing” for Democrats because white Americans tend to vote Republican.

In Europe the left-wing parties also view mass immigration as their ticket to political domination. One example was in Britain where Andrew Neather, a speech writer for Prime Minister Tony Blair, admitted that [T]he  deliberate policy of [Labour] Ministers from late 2000 . . .was to open up the UK to mass immigration. . . . [It] was intended . . . to rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date.’

The “Great Replacement” theory offers a reasonable explanation for why mass immigration proceeds as a premeditated and consistent policy in the United States and other countries. People who claim that the Great Replacement is unfounded might offer another explanation for what is happening. So far they haven’t.
