Neil Munro of the Daily Caller was one of the first to point out that Obama’s amnesty edict has been written to allow huge tax subsidies for the alien lawbreakers. President Obama, in his national speech announcing his amnesty plan, stressed that the illegals would have to “get right” with the IRS and begin paying taxes.
Left unsaid by Obama: with work permits and brand new Social Security cards, many amnestied illegals filing federal tax returns will receive huge taxpayer-provided payments under the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program. EITC is a subsidy for working poor, with the largest payments going to filers with children. A couple with three children can receive a $6,000 check from the IRS.
Most households of illegals have low income, and pay very little income tax. Large families are also common. Obama’s amnesty edict could put billions of dollars in the pockets of future Democrat voters.
