The Swiss People’s Party (SVP) won the largest share of votes in Switzerland’s parliamentary election on Sunday. The SVP calls for strict controls on immigration. The surge of refugees moving to European countries played a significant role in the vote. Said SVP leader Toni Brunner, “The vote was clear. The people are worried about mass migration to Europe.”
