Refugee admissions have declined under the Trump Administration. For the first four months of fiscal year 2018 were only 6,708. The total for the same period of fiscal year 2017, almost all of which was during the Obama Administration, was 32,448.
Organizations in the U.S. that sponsor refugee resettlement (called VOLAGs) are disappointed by the decline. They receive huge sums of taxpayers’ money to carry out their so-called charity.
