President Obama says Republican opposition to his immigration “reform” amounts to political suicide that could cause the party to lose support from an entire generation of immigrants. Speaking on Thursday to a group of high-tech entrepreneurs in California, he also claimed the U.S. needs more skilled immigrants to keep the workforce young. He again said that because the House Republicans will not pass his desired legislation, he will act on his own to reduce deportations and increase work permits for immigrants after the November elections.
