Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, charged the Obama Administration with hypocrisy in sending warning letters to states that oppose its plan to resettle 10,000 refugees in the coming fiscal year. The letters threaten the states with a cutoff of federal funds if they refuse to cooperate. Goodlatte notes that the administration doesn’t threaten cutoffs to states and localities that provide sanctuary to illegal aliens by refusing to cooperate with federal law enforcement–even though their actions defy federal law.
