The Census Bureau projects that our current population of 325 million will rise to 404 million by 2060 if the current level of immigration continues. Almost all of that growth–a total of 75 million–will be due to immigrants (legal and illegal) and their families. Without immigration, our population would only increase by 3.7 million between now and 2060.
