The state of Arizona has decided to act on its own and erect border walls to fill in the gaps between border barriers erected during the Trump Administration. The Biden Administration ordered an end to construction of those barriers by the federal government.
The continuing surge of illegal immigration prompted Arizona’s decision, one which it made without consulting Washington. “This is an easy solution that Washington, D.C., just continues to fail to act on,” declared Tim Roemer, the director of the Arizona Department of Homeland Security. “We’re done waiting for them.”
