The Mexican border of Arizona is “just as out of control” as the Texas-Mexican border, said Arizona Governor Gov. Doug Ducey. He noted that “What’s already happening in Yuma [Arizona] is reflective of what’s happening on the Texas border. Arizona is a border state. We faced this before, but we’ve never faced a crisis this large in 21 years.”
Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveal that more than 91,000 illegal aliens have passed through Yuma during the 2021 fiscal year. Only about 8,000 were apprehended.
