Many of the designated refugees now are Muslims. Commonly assisting resettlement are religious organizations that profit from their activity and then leave the refugees for taxpayers to support. Critics of the refugee system complain that its screening procedures are not adequate to prevent terrorists from posing as refugees and coming to the U.S.
