Three bills to grant amnesty to illegal aliens are now before the current “lame duck” session of Congress. One is legislation in the Senate co-sponsored by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) to give amnesty and pathway to citizenship to two million illegals in the DACA category.
Another is the so-called Farmworkers Modernization Workforce Act which would legalize one million illegal alien farmworkers. The bill is misnamed because amnesty for these workers would discourage mechanization which would truly help to modernize agriculture. The remaining amnesty legislation would provide green cards (permanent residence) for illegal aliens who have served in the military and their family members.
