Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) took to the Senate floor to express his outrage at the death of Kate Steinle and many other innocent victims of criminal illegal aliens allowed loose in America:
“…if not for sanctuary cities and the Obama administration’s continued destruction in other areas of immigration enforcement, Kate and others surely would be alive today. Her death could have been prevented. But the extreme open borders ideology that rejects even the deportation of criminals…has led to her death, as it has led to the death of many others.”
Sessions went on to note that the Obama administration had sued Arizona and other states and localities to stop them from trying to help enforce immigration laws, while it had openly announced that it would take no action against sanctuary jurisdictions for refusing to cooperate with enforcement of our immigration laws.
“It’s time for Congress…to cut off federal law enforcement moneys to sanctuary cities. Not one more parent, not one parent should lose a son or daughter because American cities are harboring criminals.” Sessions also provided a list of measures that would solve the nation’s immigration crisis.
