House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) stated in a speech before the American Chamber of Commerce in Dublin, Ireland, that passing “immigration reform” is still one of his top priorities. “Immigration reform” is a commonly used euphemism for amnesty. Arthur Beesley, a writer for The Irish Times, stated that “[Boehner’s] remarks indicate he may yet move to confront opponents of reform within his own Republican party, which is the vanguard of resistance to it and has a majority in the House.”
