We’ve been telling you for months that the Biden adminstration is admitting record numbers of illegal aliens with little or no prospects or intention of ever sending them back. Here are some numbers, made available by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) and published by Fox News and Breitbart News:
- From January 20, 2021 to late October 2021, the government released a total of 530,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior.
- More than 104,000 of them were released with merely a “Notice to Report” (NTR), a request that they contact ICE in a city of their choosing within 60 days.
- Of those, fewer than half–about 49,859–reported as requested. The majority, 56,012, have not been heard from. They have disappeared into our country.
- Even the roughly 50,000 that did report are in little danger of removal. Only about 15.6 percent of them have been issued an NTA (Notice to Appear), a necessary first step in deportation.
- Not that that matters. Historically, nearly 90 percent of those receiving such NTAs fail to show up anyway.
In short, we have a make-believe border and a pretend immigration policy in this country. Assurances to the contrary from adminstration officials such as the migrant-happy DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas are bogus, pure and simple.
