Northbound Caravan Pushes through Police Blockade

That caravan we told you about on October 18, the one promising “war” if it didn’t get its way, made good on one threat this weekend by surging past a blockade of Mexican officials in southern Mexico.

Numbering around 5,000 and while so far well below the promised 80,000, the caravan continues to grow. Over the weekend, the migrants, a mixture of Central Americans and Haitians, passed through the Mexican town of Huehuetán, about 16 miles north of Tapachula. Fox News’ Griff Jenkins, present on the scene, reported one El Salvadoran migrant proclaiming, “Tell Biden we are coming!”

The caravan leader, one Irineo Mujica, said this about the U.S. administration on the night before the group departed:

They are just relying on their own polls. If I told you the truth … at least with Donald Trump, we knew what we had. With Biden … he doesn’t seem to have a clue what to do with immigration because he says one thing and does another. Tell me something that Joe Biden has done [for migrants]? He promised immigration reform. He hasn’t done it. He promised he was going to take care of the migrants. He hasn’t done it.

Mujica has long-standing ties with Pueblo Sin Fronteras–People without Borders–a George Soros-funded organization.

Estimates have the migrants reaching our southern border in about 18 days, but that’s assuming they aren’t able to hitch rides in Mexico, a common practice. Stay tuned.
