After the Supreme Court allowed Title 42 to remain in effect, at least temporarily, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called for Joe Biden’s “comprehensive reform” which would increase our current massive level of legal immigration and grant amnesty to all of the eleven million illegal aliens in the U.S.
Title 42 is the last remaining major reform of the Trump Administration to control the border that is still in effect. As we have reported, the Biden Administration wants to get rid of it.
Responding to the Court’s ruling, Mayorkas stated: “We will continue to manage the border, but we do so within the constraints of a decades-old immigration system that everyone agrees is broken. We need Congress to pass the comprehensive immigration legislation that President Biden proposed the day he took office.”
In truth, Mayorkas’ mismanagement of the border has done much to break border enforcement and keep it broken. Some Republican congressmen are proposing to impeach him during the upcoming session of Congress.
