Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) is pushing legislation (S.386) at the behest of cheap labor tech interests to give American jobs to Indian tech workers. Lee tried to slip the bill though with “unanimous consent,” a procedure which would have allowed passage without hearings. Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) blocked this move. Lee says he will continue to work for passage.
