Gutierrez: If Congress Fails to Pass Amnesty, Obama Will Act On Own

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), perhaps the most pro-alien member of Congress, said immigration reform was not dead in the House, despite the defeat of Rep. Eric Cantor.  He said there were “dozens” of his GOP colleagues supporting legalization, but if the House failed to pass an amnesty bill by July, Obama would unilaterally “… take action to protect the immigrant community…”
