The American Action Network (AAN) will spend $400,000 on ads to make Republicans believe that efforts to defund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)–to stop President Obama’s amnesty edicts–will jeopardize national security. The AAN is a pro-amnesty organization of prominent Republicans. One board member is an ex-chief of staff of House Speaker John Boehner. The message of the ads is false because defunding of DHS will not shut down its essential services.
