Ken Cuccinelli, acting DHS deputy secretary, said “I think we’ve probably reached a point in the last few months where we’re deporting more illegals than are coming into the country.” This appears to be the result of the Trump Administration’s policy, beginning in March, to expel illegal border crossers immediately. Its purpose was to help prevent foreigners infected with the coronavirus from spreading it in the U.S.
