Dems Ask for $50 Mil More for Migrants

The Democrat representing the District of Columbia in Congress, Eleanor Norton, has introduced a bill (H.R. 8725) that will, in the bill’s words, “provide supplemental appropriations for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program to provide humanitarian relief for migrants, and for other purposes.”

The $50 million specified by the bill, if appropriated, would be added to the $150,000,000 already provided to FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) for the benefit of illegal migrants, not citizens.

The National Pulse website notes that the federal government’s massive spending comes at a time of exorbitant inflation rates and recurring shortages of items such as baby formula. With the illegals’ benefactors in Congress and in the Biden administration, it appears that they at least will be provided for. Citizens, on the other hand, not so much.
