We recently reported that Democrat congressmen were very upset when President Biden, in his State of the Union speech, used the term “illegal alien” to describe illegal aliens. The outrage prompted Biden to issue an apology during an interview.
He stated, “I shouldn’t have used the word illegal. It’s undocumented. . . . I’m not going to treat any of these people with disrespect. Look, they built the country. [They’re] the reason our economy is growing. We have to control the border, in a more orderly flow.”
These remarks speak volumes. Illegal aliens didn’t build America. We had a strong and prosperous country long before they began to arrive in massive numbers. Biden claims that he doesn’t disrespect “any” of them. Presumably that includes those who commit vicious crimes against American citizens.
It’s unfortunate that Biden’s respectful spirit doesn’t extend to fellow Americans who endorse the idea of “make America great again.” He’s described them as a “threat to our country.” Finally, his notion of controlling the border apparently doesn’t consist of stopping illegal aliens from entering the U.S. Rather, it’s to make their invasion “a more orderly flow.” This is exactly what his administration has done for the past three years.
