Agents Improperly Assigned

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) charged in a recent hearing that special agents of Homeland Security are being appropriately assigned. Specifically, they are being sent to process and care for illegal aliens, rather than carry out their jobs to stop child traffickers and sexual exploitation.

Sen. Hawley got his information from an agent who wanted to reveal what was happening. This whistleblower stated that “We are being told to shut down investigations to go hand out sandwiches and escort migrants to the shower and sit with them while they’re in the hospital and those types of tasks.” Hawley challenged Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to justify this use of highly trained agents.
