A Surge, Or a Challenge?

Robert Law at the Center for Immigration Studies notes that illegal alien advocates in the government and media try to twist language to advance their agenda. A classic example is calling illegal aliens “undocumented immigrants”–as if breaking our laws is just a matter of misplaced papers. The term “illegal alien,” they insist, “is dehumanizing.”

Now, Law notes, they are using language manipulation to minimize the current mass movement of illegal aliens across our southern border. They claim that words like “surge” and “flood” are also “dehumanizing.” DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas maintains that what’s now happening on the border is simply a “challenge.”
