A coalition of 18 states has filed suit to stop the Biden Administration from admitting illegal aliens through ports of entry and granting them legal status. Opponents of this scheme have referred to it as CLAP (Circumvention of Lawful Pathways).
The lawsuit maintains that CLAP “is an accounting exercise allowing [Biden] to claim that illegal entries have decreased. In reality, though, [it] will drastically incentivize increased illegal immigration into the United States and lead to an explosion in the population of unlawful alien residents in the States.”
