By a 52-36 margin, Americans say the federal government is “not aggressive enough in deporting illegal immigrants,” according to a new Rasmussen poll. Only 14% of likely voters said they think the U.S. is deporting too aggressively; 22% think current policy is right; 11% are undecided.
Despite this strong public support for stronger enforcement of immigration laws, the Obama regime is on the verge of weakening its already pro-alien lawbreaker policy of allowing large categories of deportable foreigners to go free. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson is expected to add new groups of aliens, those who have repeatedly flouted immigration law or ignored court deportation orders, to the growing list of lawbreaking aliens given the Obama “stay in America free card.”
The noisy “No More Deportations” movement clearly has the ear of Obama, regardless of the wishes of most Americans.
