A recent Rasmussen poll found that a majority of midterm voters supports a significant reduction in legal immigration, which now runs at about one-million a year. Sixteen percent said that the total should be more than a million, and ten percent said the it should stay at a million.
Nevertheless, sixty-seven percent said the number should be reduced to 750,000 annually. Fifty-three percent wanted less than 500,000, and thirty-seven percent called for less than 250,000.
