Ninety Haitian Migrants Nabbed at Border

Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector of Texas have apprehended a large group of suspected Haitian migrants who had illegally crossed the border from Mexico. Mexican immigration officials had reportedly alerted U.S. authorities along the border about the potential arrival of the migrants who were traveling through Mexico on charter buses.

Writing for Breitbart News, Randy Clark, a long-time veteran of the United States Border Patrol, says the Mexican government often provides third-country nationals with travel documents allowing free travel through Mexico for a limited time.

The 90 Haitians apprehended, after having crossed the border at an unknown location, were arrested near Del Rio, Texas, shortly after 9 a.m. on January 30. They are reportedly being detained and processed there by the Border Patrol.

Another group of Haitians in Mexico were dispersed by Mexican officials and prevented from crossing the border. Additional numbers are expected to be coming up from the south, however.
