News Flash: Americans Now More Concerned about Own Border Than Ukraine’s

It is a sign of our times that finding out that Americans are more concerned about the fate of their own country than that of a corrupt, failed state half a world away is actually news.

Yet that is what the Quinnipiac University poll has discovered, to the surprise of the neocons at Fox News. In a poll released April 27, Quinnipiac reveals that immigration has now overtaken “the Russian invasion of Ukraine” in the average American’s hierarchy of national worries.

Asked their most urgent national concern, 10 percent of Americans polled answered “immigration” while 7 percent said “Ukraine.”

This represents a change from last month, where Ukraine concerns beat out immigration 14 percent to 9.

In both polls, the top concern was inflation: named by 30 percent last month, 31 percent in April.

With a federal government packing the country full of illegal migrants and their own country disappearing before their eyes, it’s about time Americans started to care about their own interests for a change. No doubt the “Not Who We Are” bunch will redouble their efforts to convince Americans how unseemly it is to stand up for those interests.
