New Invasion Front Opens along Canadian Border

Regular readers will note that we’ve paid attention recently to a massive uptick in illegal traffic coming into the U.S. from Canada in the Swanton Sector of the border (Vermont, New Hampshire, and eastern New York). As reported here last month, more illegal migrants have been apprehended crossing that portion of the border “so far this fiscal year than they did in the prior nine years combined. Since October 1, 2022, the number of illegal border crossers apprehended have totaled more than 5,400.”

To that we say, move over Swanton, you’ve got competition on the other side of the continent from the Blaine Sector in Washington state.

Breitbart News is reporting that, according to Blaine Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rosario Pete Vasquez, a team of agents searching a train on Friday found 29 migrants who had illegally crossed into the U.S. from Canada. Twenty-eight of the migrants were Mexican nationals; the 29th, a Colombian.

Since the beginning of this fiscal year, agents patrolling along the entire Canadian border had apprehended 7,623 migrants through the end of July, more than a 240 percent increase over the total for the previous fiscal year. During that period, Blaine Sector agents apprehended 1,083 migrants. That’s still less than Swanton’s 5,400 — much less the total along any of the ten Southern sectors — but it’s safe to say Blaine has opened yet another front for the invasion.
