Empty suits Mayorkas and Blinken — U.S. secretaries of Homeland Security and State, respectively — met with neo-communist Mexican president Lopez Obrador in Mexico City on Wednesday to discuss how to “regularize” the massive influx of the world’s migrants coming up through Mexico to the U.S. border.
Here’s a shocker: nothing (good) came of it.
Oh, they issued the usual “joint statement,” agreeing that they all seek a “orderly, humane and regular migration,” which Washington agrees to pay for. And they agreed whole-heartedly that the portion of America’s illegal population known fondly as the “Dreamers” need to be “regularized” (ie, legalized). And AMLO got in some digs at Texas Governor Greg Abbott, one of the pitifully few American politicians willing to do ANYTHING about the invasion. Always ready to call the shots in U.S. elections, he warned Abbott that there are already LOTS of Mexicans now voting in Texas, so watch out.
Here’s paragraph 2 of the statement:
The two countries reaffirmed their existing commitments on fostering an orderly, humane, and regular migration. This includes reinforcing our partnership to address the root causes of migration, such as poverty, inequality, and violence, and for the two countries’ initiative for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans. Ongoing cooperation also includes enhanced efforts to disrupt human smuggling, trafficking, and criminal networks, and continuing the work to promote legal instead of irregular migration pathways. Also, both delegations agreed on the importance of maintaining and facilitating the vital bilateral trade at our shared border.
(You’ll notice that “root causes” are back in their vocabulary. That was what Veep-of-Color Kamala Harris was supposed to study a long time back. No doubt she’ll be coming up with her keen analysis any day now.)
Oh, and lest we also ignore them, some Republican politicians complained about it all, strenuosly and altogether ineffectually. House Speaker Johnson declared, “President Biden needs to stop vacationing and take immediate steps to stop the flow of illegal immigration into our country. Our nation’s security and sovereignty depend upon it, and the American people demand it.” He might have added, “And we mean it this time!”
Meanwhile, that gigantic new caravan of maybe 7,000, maybe 15,000 — what does it matter anymore, considering the millions Biden is welcoming? — is coming up fast. Lots of new material for some massive regularization there, as well as lots more of AMLO’s Mexican voters in Texas.
In short, the Biden regime’s plan to destroy America demographically proceeds apace.
