On Sunday night, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents apprehended a group of 206 illegal migrants that had illegally crossed the border near Hidalgo, Texas. Only seven of the group were single adults, the rest family units and unaccompanied children. Agents identified them as citizens of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Belize, and–curiously–the United States.
The entire group was sent to a Border Patrol facility for processing. The single adults are likely to be returned to Mexico under Title 42; the fates of the remainder have not been revealed.
The Rio Grande sector is seeing large groups of illegals this spring. Note, for example, the 172 illegals caught in one day earlier this month.
